10 Incredible Books for your 2018 Reading List!

Goal setting is big this time of year.  I talked about my goal setting process last week… click the link below if you missed it and need some help setting goals.  As I’ve been brainstorming goals for 2018, I’ve been thinking that I’d like to set a goal to increase my reading next year.  I’ll commit to reading X amount of books in 2018 – just not sure on how many to commit to yet.  Studies show a direct correlation between wealth and reading plus, I’m sick of watching the junk that is on TV today.

Your Money God’s Way – Overcoming the 7 Money Myths that Keep Christians Broke by Aime Streater

This book has been on my bookshelf for years and I finally cracked it open in early December.  I should have read this years ago! The author offers a no-nonsense approach to money and backs it up with biblical truth.  I am absolutely loving it! Click here to grab a copy!

Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey

If you’ve been following EPB for a bit, you know that we paid off our debt using the principles we learned from this book!  Ramsey’s approach is easy to follow and easy to implement.  I won’t be reading this one again but always suggest folks grab it if they are just getting started.  Click here to buy a copy of TMM.

 

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki

This is the first on my list for the coming year! I am so excited to start growing my personal finance knowledge and gaining new perspectives.  I think this books will be a great start to that!  I’ll let you know what I think about it after I read it in 2018. Smart Women Finish Rich by David Bach

I read this years ago (in my early 20’s) and it’s definitely time to read it again.  I remember enjoying it then and I think that I’ll be able to pluck out some new information relevant to my goals and aspirations.  The author has other books too so if you’ve read this one or aren’t interested, type in the author’s name on Amazon.  You’ll probably find a book relevant to you! Crush It!  by Gary Vanerchuck

I love this book!!! I read it a few years ago and again this year.  If you’re looking to change your life or start a business, this is an epic read.  It will light a fire and give you the fuel to keep it burning! Click here to buy a copy for yourself.

 Grace not Perfection by Emily Ley

This book is definitely on my must-read list.  I love the authors approach to business and life.  I simply can’t wait to learn more from her.  The book is available on her direct site for less than Amazon so click here to grab a copy for yourself!  If you’ve read it, I’d love to hear what you think!

A Simplified Life by Emily Ley

Yep, the same author is on this list twice!  My friends and family will tell you that I tend do overcomplicate things from time to time… This book is on my to-read list for 2018 because simplifying life sounds amazing!!  Maybe this one will help me have a more successful 2018 too!  Click here to grab your copy and get started simplifying your life.

Make it Happen by Lara Casey

This one is on my list for early 2018 too.  I’ve been using Lara Casey’s Powersheets (I talked about them here) to set goals for 2018 and if those are any indication of the goodness that will be in this book, I AM IN!! I’ll definitely let you know what I think of it but the author knows her stuff when it comes to prioritizing and living your dreams.  Click here to grab your copy! 

Business Boutique by Christi Wright

I listened to this on audible and immediately purchased the hard copy so that I can make notes and highlight like crazy.  The author taught this MBA some new tricks and I definitely need to dig back into it!  I should have done so in the last part of 2017 but next year will work too!  Click here to grab your copy if you’re a businesswoman or are looking to start your own business in 2018!
